en Taiko - Free Concert

en Taiko is a Japanese drumming group by youth drummers. The group started in Portland in 2007 as an effort to introduce Japanese culture to local communities. The group carries a centuries-old musical tradition from Japan, and performs at various cultural events.

Teen Makerspace Workshop

This dynamic hub is specifically designed for creative and curious young minds between the ages of 13 and 17.

Here, you can explore, build, design, and craft to your heart's content, fueled by your imagination. Equipped with state-of-the-art resources like 3D printers and laser engravers, our friendly library staff is here to guide you as you bring your unique ideas to life. As you engage in this exciting journey, you'll not only acquire new skills and techniques but also connect with fellow teenage makers who share your passion.

Seed Saving

Saving seeds is an easy and fun skill to learn. Late summer is the perfect time of year to make a plan for saving seeds, whether you hope to save seeds from favorite vegetable varieties or flowers. In this class you will learn what types of seeds are best for saving; when and how to harvest, process and successfully store seeds.
