Development Services

The Development Services Department is comprised of the following two divisions: the Planning Division and the Building Division. The Department is staffed by six full-time employees. In addition to the typical functions of planning and building, the department issues business licenses, manages urban renewal grant programs, and enforces the municipal code. We are located in the east side of City Hall at 39250 Pioneer Blvd. 

The Planning Division is responsible for guiding the City's land use development process and long range planning. The Planning Division strives to promote a livable, sustainable, beautiful, and prosperous city by facilitating a long-range vision for the community that is implemented through adopted plans, policies, and codes.

The Building Division is responsible for guiding the City's structural, mechanical, and plumbing processes for the construction industry and the public. Building staff provide consultation, complete plan review, issue permits, and conduct inspection services. Business licensing and sign approval are also handled by the Building Division.
