Community/Senior Center

The Community/Senior Center is our community gathering place for information, resources, recreational activities, senior group activities, and many other opportunities for social interaction. Various rooms within the center are available for rental for birthday parties, celebration of life, receptions, and group use.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

The Recreation and Senior Services Manager may determine the cancelation of classes, activities, and programs due to inclement weather. If cancelations occur, the City of Sandy Parks and Recreation Department will update the department's website by 8:30 a.m. on the day of the cancelation to inform the public. Additionally, staff will contact participants of pre-registered activities via email and phone.

We encourage the public to check the website or contact the Recreation and Senior Services Department directly (503-668-5569) for the most up-to-date information regarding closures and cancelations.

While classes, programs, and activities may be canceled, the Sandy Community/Senior Center will remain open at the discretion of the City Manager and based on staff availability.
