Budget Information
The City of Sandy adopts a budget to guide decision making and execution of the overall operating and capital plans. The budget is prepared at the direction of the City Manager to address the goals and objectives of the City Council and fulfill the service level expectations of citizens and customers. The Finance Director, with the help of each department director, manages the budget throughout the biennium. Occasionally, budget adjustments are needed to address unexpected changes in revenue or expenditures. The City also adopts a budget for the Sandy Urban Renewal Agency, which is a separate district that is managed by the City Council, Fire District Chief, and Chamber of Commerce Director.
