Events

Parks and Recreation offers a robust variety of events for all ages in the City of Sandy.  Upcoming events include Longest Day Parkway, Noah's Quest 10K/5K run/walk, Fireworks, Sandy Mountain Festival, Movies & Concerts in the Park and The Corn Cross Mountain Bike Race.  In addition, events are offered throughout the year for various special occasions, fundraising, and specific age groups.

Read to the Dog

Do you have a child working to improve their reading skills? Bring your child to the Sandy Library to read to Tanis!

Tanis will be in the Sandy Library children's area and he would love it if you read him your favorite book! Read to the Dog is a great way for your child to practice their reading in a fun environment.

We are partnering with DoveLewis’ Portland Area Canine Therapy Teams program to offer interactive reading sessions for readers looking to develop their confidence in reading aloud with a furry companion.

Children's Programs - Test

Programs are sponsored by the Friends of Sandy Library and Friends of the Hoodland Library.

Elf in the Window

The Sandy Library has a new visitor hanging around from December 1st through December 24th.  Take a walk around the library to see if you can find him in a window!

Community/Senior Center

The Community/Senior Center is our community gathering place for information, resources, recreational activities, senior group activities, and many other opportunities for social interaction. Various rooms within the center are available for rental for birthday parties, celebration of life, receptions, and group use.
