Make an easy, colorful bracelet with pipe cleaners, pony beads, and a large button - all included in your kit! Pick up your Take and Make at the Sandy or Hoodland Library starting February 15th.

Oh the fun you will have at the library! Come and celebrate Dr, Seuss with a special family storytime on his birthday.  We’ll read one of Dr. Seuss’s beloved books and then dive into exciting, Seuss-inspired games and activities.

Helpful Hungry Bats - Hoodland Library

Every night our furry, flying friends – bats – can eat their body weight in insects! Come learn about these fantastic creatures and ways they can catch and eat so many dangerous mosquitoes and other flying insects in the dark. Learn about different types of bats, their amazing adaptations, the important roles they play in Oregon and around the world, and much more through hands-on activities. Make artistic bat masks, explore echolocation, and discover ways to help them with bat-friendly habitat and bat boxes.

Teen Take and Make - February

Herbarium

Create your own dried flower herbarium! Add baby oil and your favorite dried flowers in a test tube. These make great additions to your room!

This kit will be available starting February 1st.

Available while supplies last. 

This kit is for teens in 6th - 12th grade.

Senate Bill 1537 - Mandatory Adjustments Related to Housing

On January 24, 2025, the Planning Division submitted a 25-part questionnaire to the Housing Accountability and Production Office (HAPO) with the Department of Land Conservation and Development (DLCD), requesting an exemption from the “Mandatory Adjustments” required in Section 38 of Senate Bill 1537.

Food & Drink Establishment Safety Checklist

When applying for a business license for a food & drink establishment, the Building Official will inspect the establishment to ensure that the facility provides a safe environment for patrons, customers, and employees.

Free Hearing & Developmental Screenings
Regular screening of a child’s development is an effective way to identify early if children are falling behind their peers or are in need of extra support to meet their developmental milestones. If needs are identified, early intervention or early childhood special education services can provide a variety of support.

Creation Station

Creation Station is a twice monthly interactive program that welcomes adults with developmental disabilities on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 10:00 AM.

Art Lab, on the 2nd Monday, will offer several arts and crafts stations with a variety of materials to accommodate different interests and abilities.

Maker Lab, on the 4th Monday, will offer puzzles, games, LEGOs and other building and problem solving materials.
