2022 Teen Artwork Contest

Each year libraries in Clackamas County look for help from local teens to design the Teen Summer Reading artwork. Young artists, ages 12-18, can submit their original artwork for this year’s theme: Read Beyond the Beaten Path. Submissions will be accepted January 2nd - 31st.

The deadline to apply for a COVID EIDL is next Friday. Here's what you need to know...

City Offices to open at 11:00 a.m.

City of Sandy offices will open at 11:00 a.m. today, 12/28/2021, due to inclement weather.

Plant Swap

Is your house starting to look like a jungle with too many plants? Or too bare with not enough? Do you have cuttings to give away? Or maybe you are looking to adopt a new plant friend?

Come by the Sandy Library Community Room between 1 pm and 3 pm on Sunday, February 13th. Please bring a healthy, pest-free houseplant or cutting to swap. If you don't have one to bring, that is ok too. Please bring your own containers to take any new plant friends home.

Kid Take and Make Kits - December

Each month the library will feature a different Take and Make Kit. 

Starting December 15th, pick up a Take-And-Make Kit at the Sandy and Hoodland Libraries.

Make a mini gnome to display on your holiday table or give as a gift.

SandyNet Rural Fiber with Clackamas Broadband eXchange

Background

In 2019, SandyNet and Clackamas Broadband eXchange (CBX) entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) to provide fiber optic broadband services to homes and businesses outside of Sandy city limits. Since the original IGA in 2019, the following areas have been constructed and are now serviced with gigabit speeds:

  • Forest Service Roads 29, 31, 35, 35a and 35b
  • Hudson/Lusted/Greenvalley Dr area
  • Agricultural Farm off of Bluff Rd

The following areas are activly being consructed and built out:
