City Council Defers Wastewater Rate Increase

At its December 21st meeting, the City Council decided to temporarily delay proposed increases to wastewater rates.

While the rate increases are necessitated by the State-required improvements to our sewer system, the Council determined that a rate increase during this economically challenging time would create too much of a strain on community members.

The Council will review and reconsider the proposed increases by June 2021 to ensure the project remains adequately funded and on schedule.
