Covered Structures Grant Program – Applications Due 2-25-21

In response to the pandemic, the Sandy Urban Renewal Board recently enacted a new grant program to help our restaurants, bars and athletic clubs create outdoor dining and workout spaces.

The City of Sandy Permanent Outdoor Covered Structures grant program provides up-front funding from the City of Sandy to create permanent outdoor covered structures for qualified businesses in return for a 20% match from the restaurant or gym owner upon completion.

The pilot project for this program will be constructed at Sandy Family Restaurant and was approved by the Sandy Urban Renewal Board at the last City Council meeting. SURA will review the first round of applications for this program at their regular meeting on March 1st.

To have your project considered for the first round of this program, your grant application must be received no later than February 25th.
