Facade Improvement Grants
The City of Sandy Façade Improvement Program is a matching grant program funded by the Sandy Urban Renewal Agency, and was approved by the Urban Renewal Board in May 2009. This program sets aside a portion of the City's urban renewal funds to assist building owners with upgrades to their buildings designed to incorporate Sandy Style elements to buildings. Specific details regarding these Cascadian building design standards can be found in the Sandy Development Code, Chapter 17.90.
The City is currently not accepting new applications, while grant programs are being reevaluated.
Program funds may be used for existing exterior façade improvements on any commercial buildings within the urban renewal zone in Sandy. For the purposes of this program, “façade” includes the exterior of any street facing building wall, but does not include the following elements: building interior, roofing, structural improvements, signage or other site improvements as listed in the program guidelines below.
