WWTP and Jarl Rd Fiber Expansion
Background
On April 4th, 2022, Sandy City Council approved plans for fiber optic expansion to Sandy's Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). Upon completion, a dedicated fiber optic line will bring high-speed connectivity to the WWTP and help facilitate new technologies being implemented. Expansion of the City's fiber optic network has helped made this extension easier. The WWTP was one of the few remaining city facilities without a fiber connection. Additionally, the installation of a fiber line will enable SandyNet to begin offering gigabit broadband offerings to the residents of Jarl Rd.
