Thanks,
Change of Pace is a day respite program for older adults experiencing memory loss or confusion due to Alzheimer’s disease or other types of dementia. This is a social based program whose focus is placed on participants’ cognitive needs rather than medical or physical needs . The Respite Care Coordinator and volunteer(s) offer a wide range of activities for participants to enhance their social, emotional, and physical abilities.
Respite care can provide:
- A chance to spend time with other friends and family.
- Time to take care of errands such as shopping, medical appointments, exercising, or simply rest.
- Comfort and peace of mind knowing that the person experiencing memory loss is spending time with another caring individual.
respite care services can give the person experiencing memory loss an opportunity to:
- Interact and socialize with others having similar experiences.
- Spend time in a safe, supportive environment.
- Participate in interesting activities designed to match personal abilities, needs and enrich one's life.
You must be registered for this program.
