March for Meals Campaign

Through-out the month of March, we will be having fundraising events that will raise awareness and support the Meals on Wheels program in Sandy.

The Sandy Community/Senior Center has served Meals on Wheels for over 30 years. Last year, we helped over 70 local home bound seniors with their nutritional needs and together we served over 17,000 meals. Through our program, vulnerable seniors are given more than just a meal; relationships and connections are made enriching their lives.

This Month, the Senior Center will be raising funds through a multi faceted campaign.

1. Senior Dinner: In partnership with D31 Foundation, youth from the Sandy community will host and share a delicious dinner at the Sandy Community/Senior Center. The Center will be accepting donations for the event at the time of registration and throughout the month of March.

2. Restaurant Fundraiser: Throughout the month of March we will hold fundraisers through restaurant partnership. When you eat out a percentage of the sales at specific restaurants will go towards the Sandy Meals on Wheels Program. See participating restaurants below.

3. Raffle: Raffle items will be announced online through our website, social media and the city newsletter. Raffle “tickets” will be sold throughout the month of March and announced at the end. To purchase tickets, visit the Community/Senior Center or give us a call at 503-668-5569.
