DIY Stained Glass Candle Holder

Pick up a DIY Stained Glass Candle Holder kit starting March 1st. Pick up a kit during our curbside hours.

The kit includes supplies to make a stained glass candle holder using Mod Podge and tissue paper. Bonus: flameless candle included!

Kits are available while supplies last.

This kit is for teens in 6th - 12th grade.

The StoryWalk® concept was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and was developed with the help of Rachel Senechal, Kellogg-Hubbard Library.

Meals on Wheels Canceled Friday, Feb. 12th

Meals on wheels will not be delivered on Friday, February 12th due to possible inclement weather. Meals are also not being delivered on Monday, February 15th due to Presidents' Day.  Frozen meals and Shelf stable meals were sent out today for all clients.  If you have an immediate need, please call the center at 503-668-5569

New Development Application – City Council Public Hearing February 16th

The City of Sandy has received an application from Even Better Homes, Inc. to build a Planned Development called “The Views” on two lots north of Highway 26 on either side of Vista Loop Drive. The applicant proposes a combination of detached single-family homes, row houses, and apartment units.

Covered Structures Grant Program – Applications Due 2-25-21

In response to the pandemic, the Sandy Urban Renewal Board recently enacted a new grant program to help our restaurants, bars and athletic clubs create outdoor dining and workout spaces.

The City of Sandy Permanent Outdoor Covered Structures grant program provides up-front funding from the City of Sandy to create permanent outdoor covered structures for qualified businesses in return for a 20% match from the restaurant or gym owner upon completion.

Request for Proposals: Owner’s Representative Services for Phase 1A Wastewater System Improvements

The City of Sandy is currently inviting qualified and interested firms to submit proposals for owner’s representation services for phase 1A of the City’s large wastewater system improvements project.

City Council Asks Governor to Ease COVID-19 Restrictions While Maintaining Safety

At their meeting on February 1, 2021, the City Council approved a letter to Governor Brown asking her to find innovative ways to ease COVID-19 restrictions to allow businesses to increase operations, and families to gather, in a safe manner.
