REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR DOOR ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM

COVER PAGE

The City of Sandy is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to assist in the design and implementation of a unified and centralized door access control system as outlined in this RFP. Door access control for city facilities will help handle the authorization and access for employees as they perform their job duties. Door access control also helps automate the locking and monitoring of city owned facilities.

Code Enforcement

The City of Sandy currently has two employees that are tasked with enforcing our municipal code -- a Community Service Officer that works for the Sandy Police Department, and a Code Enforcement Specialist that works for the City's Development Services Department.  The table below breaks down the areas of responsibility between these two positions -- please refer to this table to determine which one of these employees to contact regarding your code question or complaint.  You can link to the individual page for each position by clicking on the links at the top of each column.

Housing Production Strategy (HPS)

In 2019, the Oregon Legislature passed House Bill 2003 which requires each city above 10,000 population to adopt a Housing Production Strategy (HPS) within one year of completing their Housing Capacity Analysis (HCA). The City of Sandy adopted the latest HCA on April 1, 2024.
