Bornstedt Park is home to a Community Garden where you can reserve up to two raised garden beds (if space is available). There are 69 garden beds available for rental every year. 67 of the garden beds are 4 x 8 ft and we offer 2 ADA accessible garden beds. Priority is given to the previous year's gardeners during the registration process.
This meeting will be conducted in a hybrid in-person / online format. The Board will be present in-person in the Council Chambers and members of the public are welcome to attend in-person as well. Members of the public also have the choice to view and participate in the meeting online via Zoom.
An economic strategy for Sandy: What is it and why is it important?
So… what is an economic development strategic plan? Simply put, it is a tool to articulate and realize our community's economic vision and take control of our economic future. At the heart of an Economic Development Strategic Plan is a roadmap to achieving this economic vision, typically in a 5- to 10-year time horizon.
We're getting started on an exciting project to re-envision and develop the Community Campus park (the lower field area behind the old Cedar Ridge Middle School buildings), and we want you involved!
Cedar Park, Sandy's newest community park, is now open in the heart of downtown. The park features Base Camp Action Sports, offering over an acre of year-round hard-surfaced areas for skating and biking. A 1/4-mile concrete looped walking path connects Cedar Park to Sandy River Park and the Sandy River. Visitors can enjoy amenities such as a zip-line, climbing rock, hill-slide, spinning dome, swings, and more.
Park patrons are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the posted park rules. To ensure the grass germinates effectively, please stay off grassy areas. Smoking is prohibited, and visitors are asked to treat the park with respect to maintain its condition for years to come.
