Background
On April 4th, 2022, Sandy City Council approved plans for SandyNet to utilize funds from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) to bring fiber to the few remaining underserved areas within Sandy city limits. Five areas were selected for construction in early 2023. The project is pending final design approval and waiting for materials and a construction crew to be assembled. Estimated project start time is Late January 2023.
