Meinig Park Improvement Plan

The City of Sandy is making essential updates and improvements to Meinig Park to enhance safety, longevity, and accessibility, ensuring one of Sandy's most cherished amenities continues to thrive.

We are currently in the early stages of planning and are collaborating with the Parks & Trails Advisory Board, City Council, and community members to prioritize the improvements and gather valuable input from the public.

Aquatics

This new program will provide residents within city limits access to aquatic classes and swim passes at special discounted rates

Bluff Park Shelter

Starting June 1st, 2024 the Shelter at Bluff Park will be available to rent.

The Shelter is available 7 days a week and comes with 3 picnic tables and a trash can.

Block 1: 7:30am-10:30am

Block 2: 11:00am-2:00pm

Block 3: 2:30pm-5:30pm

Block 4: 6:00pm-9:00pm

The fee for the rental is $70.

There is a resident discount for $50 dollars.

Trackers Earth Camps

The Parks and Recreation Department is partnering with Trackers earth to provided city of Sandy Residents dedicated reservations for their day camps at the Trackers Earth Bull Run Education Center (formerly Rosyln Lake Park) 41401 SE Thomas Rd.

 

Minds in Motion Science Classes

Parents and caregivers are invited to join and meet others with young children, make new friends, share and exchange information about parenting, learn about community resources, and have fun with activities for parents and children. Playgroup is a parent and child interactive opportunity in a relaxed indoor park setting.
