Cedar Park, Sandy's newest community park, is now open in the heart of downtown. The park features Base Camp Action Sports, offering over an acre of year-round hard-surfaced areas for skating and biking. A 1/4-mile concrete looped walking path connects Cedar Park to Sandy River Park and the Sandy River. Visitors can enjoy amenities such as a zip-line, climbing rock, hill-slide, spinning dome, swings, restrooms, a covered shelter and more.
The Sandy Senior Center, in partnership with Mt. Hood Hospice, will host a community Veterans Pinning ceremony for all generations. A Veteran pinning ceremony is a way to honor veterans and thank them for their service. "We honor Veterans" is a National program under the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization. We aim to publicly acknowledge the military service and sacrifices made by our local Veterans and their families.
