Tickle Creek Park & Trail

The Tickle Creek Trail is approximately 1.8 miles of wooded, scenic trail in the heart of Sandy. It follows its namesake creek from the Barlow Ridge neighborhood (on Dubarko Road just west of Highway 211) downstream to the Tickle Creek neighborhood (just east of 362nd Avenue). It generally runs parallel to Dubarko Road (south of the road, except for a segment east of Reich Ct. extending east of Melissa Ave.). It includes five wooden bridges over Tickle Creek. There is no dedicated parking for the trail, but it is accessible by bicycle or walking from most neighborhoods in Sandy. On-street parking is available in most of the adjacent neighborhoods; please be courteous to the residents, and don't block driveways.

In addition to the two trailheads at the ends of the trail, the trail can be accessed from the small Knollwood neighborhood park (on Dubarko just east of Sandy Heights), and at Bridge #2 off Dubarko Road west of Sandy Heights and east of Ruben Lane (don't park on the bike lane). It can also be accessed where it crosses Dubarko Road east and west of Melissa Ave.

Note that the trail emerges from the woods at Knollwood Park and follows the sidewalk on Dubarko Road to Bridge 2 just west of Sandy Heights.

The crushed gravel surface is designed for bikes (especially mountain bikes), wheelchairs and strollers. Dogs are welcome too; city law requires them to be on a leash, and for owners to clean up after them.
