Streetlight Maintenance
With the conversion of all City-owned streetlights to LEDs with web-based controls city staff will be able to receive alerts and monitor streetlight status in near real time. In most cases we should know when a streetlight goes out and be able to repair the problem before you notice the light is out. If you do happen to notice a streetlight issue please check the pole for a City pole label or PGE pole tag. For the next year or so some poles will have PGE pole tag and a City pole label. If a pole has a city label and a PGE tag it is owned and maintained by the City.

For PGE-owned and maintained poles please follow the procedure below:
PGE lights are on poles with a round metal tag with identifying numbers - a "map number" (e.g. D2413), and a "pole number" (e.g. 7563). Find these numbers, write them down, and e-mail LightOut@pgn.com
You can also visit PGE's website at http://www.portlandgeneral.com , select Safety and Outages and click on the Report a Streetlight link. Usually PGE repairs the light within a couple of weeks.
If you can't find a pole tag or label please note the nearest street address instead. If you don't have email access call 503-489-2161 and the City will determine who owns and maintains the light and notify them for you.
Streetlighting Guidelines
