EMERGENCIES WITH TREES:

For fallen trees that are blocking a city street, please contact the Public Works Department through the City App or phone (see contact information above below under "Report an Issue").  The Public Works Department is only responsible for clearing the asphalt to enable the smooth flow of traffic, including emergency response vehicles to use the street.  Any cleanup outside of the street is the responsibility of the adjacent property owner.  

REPORT AN ISSUE:
For after hours problems or emergencies with the water, sewer, storm drainage or street systems not on private property.

  • Please call (503) 972-8193 for the City's answering service. 
  • Please be sure to give the operator your complete address and a contact phone number so that any personnel dispatched can contact you if needed. 
  • Public Works responds to problems or emergencies within the city limits only (see additional info at the end on how to report emergencies to Clackamas County)

Tree Removal Permits Are Required in the Following Situations

  • Trees on non-residential zoned property almost always require a permit. In these cases, a Tree Removal Permit, Site Plan, and potentially an arborist report are required.
  • Street tree removals always require a permit. In these cases, a Street Tree Removal Application is required.
  • Retention Trees (Contact the city to inquire: planning@ci.sandy.or.us)
  • Flood Slope Hazard Overlay (FSH) (Contact the city to inquire: planning@ci.sandy.or.us)
