Statement on anti-racism
Sandy and Hoodland Libraries
In support of the City Council’s resolution condemning racism and affirming the City’s commitment to equity, Sandy and Hoodland Public Libraries invite you to join us in broadening our understanding of the deep-rooted racism that is a part of the fabric of our culture. All people have an important role to play in creating a just and equitable society for everyone. Self education is the first step.
Furthermore, the Sandy and Hoodland Public Libraries stand firmly with our colleagues at the American Library Association (ALA), and the Public Library Association (PLA) in condemning racism and dedicating ourselves to anti-racism by following PLAs Call to Action for Public Library Workers (noun: anti-racism. The policy or practice of opposing racism and promoting racial tolerance).
Join us in becoming part of the solution.
